Carlingwood Dental Centre; expanded and renovated with more services!
Carlingwood Dental Centre has provided care to patients for 25 years. The opening of the newly expanded centre, which has been architecturally designed, meets the standards of modern dentistry for the future. Carlingwood's patients will notice not only the changed physical appearance of the centre but also the enhanced technology that will play an important role in their dental planning, care and treatment.
Computer software, combined with CT scans, allows the dentists at Carlingwood to place implants accurately, safely with guided surgery. This allows many patients to have their dentures replaced with implant bridges in one appointment. The guided surgery is minimally invasive and in many cases allows patients to use their new implant bridges on the same day as their surgeries.
Patients with periodontal disease will benefit from photodynamic laser treatment, which reduces the level of harmful bacteria and may minimize the need for surgery. As well, the digital radiographs at Carlingwood Dental Centre afford greater safety to all patients as they reduce radiation exposure from x-rays by up to 60%.
Carlingwood's expanded and enhanced dental centre will provide the very best reconstructive and cosmetic care for patients now and in the future.

Carlingwood receives Maxi Gold and Maple Leaf Awards from ICSC

October 17, 2007 - Carlingwood Shopping Centre was recognized by the International Council of Shopping Centres for Excellence in Marketing in Sales Promotion and Events during the council's annual convention held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
Carlingwood won the honour for bringing The Fairy Princess of Carlingwood to Ottawa. The Fairy Princess, who makes the fairy dust that gives Santa Reindeer the power to fly and children good dreams, was introduced to Ottawa during the 2006 Christmas Holiday season as an additional attraction for families. Her introduction and appearances revived interest in Carlingwood's Santa Claus and other holiday activities increasing the number of shoppers in November and December. Competitors in the Sales Promotion and Events category included shopping centres from the United Kingdom, Poland, Australia, the United States and Canada.
The Fairy Princess of Carlingwood also received the Maple Leaf Award at the ICSC Canadian Shopping Centre Convention held in Toronto in September 2007.
The Fairy Princess of Carlingwood returned to receive visitors during the 2007 Christmas season. A percentage of proceeds from photograph sales were donated to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada totalling over $6,000!
